GUIDE “CHARMING SMALL HOTEL”

This stylish little hotel in a quiet, cobbled lane just north of Piazza Navona is a real discovery. The newly painted façade offers a foretaste of the neat interior where the spacious area leads into a series of comfortable public rooms. Marble floors gleam and provide a suitable setting for some lovely antiques while chairs and sofas are upholstered in red velvet or smart red and beige, a colour scheme which is continued throughout the house. There are some fine antique mirrors (including a huge one on each landing), old lamps and attractive prints, all of which are offset by cool, cream walks.
The bedrooms (each with its own brass doorknocker) are arranged on five floors and reached by an elegant marble staircase with fin de siècle iron banister (or there’s a lift). None of them are very large (one or two are, in fact, quite small), but all are pretty and comfortable. Bedheads valances, curtains and bedcovers are all in co-ordinated read and beige; attractive but never fussy. Some rooms have great views over rooftops and terraces, excellent for an inside glimpse of Roman domestic life. Four - including a single – have a terraces equipped with tables and chairs.

An excellent centro storico choice is the DUE TORRI, a charming traditional hotel on a quiet lane. The higher your room, the better; fourth floor rooms have balconies, fifth floor roms have terraces.

My wife and I stayed in the small three-star HOTEL DUE TORRI, on the corner of two tiny old streets between the Tiber and the Piazza Navona. It was friendly and quiet, had lots of good umbrellas and served breakfast till 11.It has once been a home for bishops and cardinals. Our room had a view over a narrow cobbled lane to a roof garden festooned with washing. What more could one want?

A hidden gem situated at the western end of Via dei Condotti, with 26 rooms decorated in claret and yellow. The furniture is all antique and rooms at the top have magnificent views. The best feature however is the proprietor the glamorous, attentive Cinzia, who goes out of her way to ensure that guest enjoy both her hotel and her city.

Tucked in a lane between the Piazza Navona and the Tiber, the Hotel Due Torri has 26 small but air-conditioned rooms. Those on the top floor are smaller still, sacrificing square footage to enchanting terraces built for two – an attractive bargain. Given the central location, this well-tended hotel is surprisingly quiet-. If only one could raise one’s elbows in the shower.

Around the corner from the monkey tower on the Via dei Portoghesi, this 26 room hotel provides a good buffet breakfast, plenty of help with reservations and directions, and plain airconditioned rooms with well-stocked mini-bars and large bathrooms (including hair-dryer). Near the Piazza Navona and the Tiber.

Loved this place! I stayed here with my friend and we both found the front desk staff super helpful and the breakfast great especially the coffee with steamed milk - yum)! It was a bit of a splurge for us but we found it to be worth it. Ask for a room with a terrace! Such a nice view, and they'll serve your breakfast there if you like.

Hotel Due Torri is a great hotel in a very quiet neighborhood in central Rome (Pantheon area). It is easy to find and within walking distance of the Spagna metro stop. The street is very small so there is almost no traffic or other noise. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a two room "suite" on an upper floor, which overlooked the tiled rooftops of this delightful neighborhood. The lobby, lounge and breakfast room were beautiful and very comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quaint and quiet central in Rome.

The Hotel Due Torri was perfect for our three-day trip to Rome - the location is amazing. We got a lovely room with a balcony and the hotel is so quiet, despite being in the heart of the city. Breakfast is nice - the coffee is brilliant! Very friendly service too. The rooms are small but there is everything you need.

Our family of four loved this hotel. Cappuccino was the best we had, there was a computer for us to use in the beautiful lobby, our rooms were wonderful and the location was within walking distance of EVERYTHING. In fact, the little neighborhood it is in has everything. One of the best bites of pizza came from the nearby bakery.

My family recently stayed at Hotel Due Torri on a vacation to Italy. We wanted to find a place that was in a convenient location and had a nice Italian feel. We stayed for 5 nights, and its location to Piazza Navona and other popular attractions was perfect. Though there wasn't any WiFi in the rooms, the lobby had internet access, which was fine for us. The breakfast was good, and the cappuccinos we got every morning were truly fantastic! The staff was nice, patient, and extremely helpful when we needed to make reservations or get information about attractions. We would stay there again!

My Mother and I were in Rome to celebrate her 85th birthday, we stayed 9 nights. Hotel Due Torri was recommended to us by our Roman guide. The location was wonderful, we could walk just about anywhere including the Vatican. Local restaurants were wonderful. Staff was outstanding! The room was small but we knew that from previous reviews...I highly recommend this hotel...but be sure to ask for a room with a large bath is you are XL!

Best location in Rome. 15 minute walk to St. Peter's and 5 minutes to Piazza Navona. Great owner and staff. Close to touristy stuff but tucked away. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Ideal to walk to all attraction sin Rome. Comfortable, beautiful hotel too. Multo bene!

Mio marito ed io abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni a Roma per il 25° di matrimonio in questo piccolo hotel di charme, scelto per l'impagabile posizione, centrale e nello stesso tempo riservata e tranquilla . Avevamo chiesto una camera con terrazzino e siamo stati accontentati, con l'onesto avvertimento che la stanza era piccolina. Che meraviglia, rompevano il silenzio solo le campane e i gabbiani del Tevere! Ottima la pulizia. Colazione buona in una saletta bella e tranquilla. Il personale è disponibilissimo e simpatico. L'ultimo giorno di permanenza la stanza si può tenere fino alle 12 e fino a sera i servizi vari sono comunque a disposizione. Grazie per tutto, naturalmente anche per il prosecco offertoci alla notizia del nostro anniversarioWe stayed the first part of June 2012.

 This place was recommended by a co-worker who had stayed there a few years back. A tad off the main road but charming. We had views across the neighborhood from the 4th floor small balcony which was wonderful if you are interested in the more native neighborhood, and we were! The hotel was originally a residence so the rooms are small with an amoire for a closet. The staff is very helpful; the dining room and reading rooms are enchanting; the breakfast terrific! We walked to the river easily and out to shops and other restaurants. Taxis seemed to be able to find us. The room had a few dust bunnies; the bath was very clean and hot water no problem. Very quiet and peaceful. I would stay again as long as I can stay on the 4th or 5th floor where their are views. It had a safe, refrigerator, TV and cable. Quaint and charming

Rome is not a cheap place to stay. Due Torri was about the average price, and recommended mainly for its location, so I gave it a shot and hoped for the best; and I think I got it. The decor was classy and well maintained. The room was smallish but clean and well furnished and very comfy. The buffet breakfast was well stocked, and came with good strong coffee. And most importantly, while the location is very convenient to major sights and surrounded by good shops and restaurants, the hotel itself is nestled into a small side-street and is therefore very quiet at night. I slept like a baby.

Once again the Hotel Due Torri worked out to everyone’s satisfaction. It is well located and within walking distance of several sights and restaurants, and also the taxi stop when you want to go some distance. It is a bit hard to find for first time visitors, on a side street, but is well signed if you look, so don’t be put off by that. Five minutes from the Pizza Navona and many other sights. I would go back again and again. The owner and staff are great and make sure you ask for a room with a balcony.
